Meet the Dinky leather handbag handmade from surplus and dead stock materials carefully selected from the LPOL studio and workshop.

A true celebration of the LPOL Zero-Waste ethos, Dinky is a reimagining of one of LPOL’s most popular handbag styles. Born entirely of a re-use and recycling philosophy, this new design incorporates multiple panels utilising textures of offcut surplus leathers collected and archived in their workshop and studio - material that would otherwise end up in landfill. The only element of this bag not upcycled or recycled is the metal hardware (LPOL are working on it!). This circular production method not only gives the material a second life but it is kinder to the environment, saves water and reduces carbon emissions.

A contemporary take on the classic saddle bag, Dinky is perfectly proportioned to hold a refined edit of your daily essentials. Featuring LPOL's signature loop and keeper leather fastening highlighted with a pop of colour, this is a bag that has everything you need and nothing you don’t. An internal zip pocket provides extra security, plus there's a surplus cotton lining for added luxury and a recycled adjustable nylon shoulder strap that can be usefully detached and interchanged.

• Crafted from surplus vegetable tanned leather
• Surplus cotton British Millerain lining
• Internal zip pocket
• Adjustable recycled shoulder strap
• Designed and handmade in England
• Protect and restore using natural beeswax

LPOL (formerly known as Lost Property of London) is an independent sustainable design brand founded in London in 2009. They are dedicated and passionate about designing and crafting sustainable and ethically-minded leather and upcycled handbags, totes, rucksacks, work bags and small gifts.

Katy, one of the founders of LPOL, primary focus is on using superior quality natural materials and reclaimed fabric sourced locally in the UK and Europe. From the outset, it was made clear that production of every product had to be in the UK, to help support and revive local craft skills and to keep transportation and emissions to a minimum. Katy visioned and pioneered a circular, zero-waste production method in both the East London and Kent workshops whereby all material waste and offcuts are retained and used to produce limited edition products, small goods, one-off gifts and artist collaborations. Now, LPOL work continuously to make production more sustainable, more efficient, lower-impact and even more local. LPOL’s design philosophy is evident in the finished product; clean lines and strong minimalist form that delivers essential everyday functionality. They design their collections to last beyond the latest trends, to last for a lifetime. LPOL passionately believe that they can help change the perception of luxury – one that is not defined by brand name or logo, and instead one that is defined by a set of values personified by products of integrity and enduring style.
